Role Overview
The gap between SEO and GEO is closing fast, but most content teams still operate in one paradigm or the other. Scribble needs someone who can work in both simultaneously — building content that ranks today and earns AI citations tomorrow. This is one of the most genuinely novel content roles in the market right now .
You will develop the content frameworks, editorial standards, and keyword strategies that sit at the intersection of traditional SERP performance and AI citation. You will run editorial calendars, write and commission content, audit existing content and develop a framework for Scribble’s creators through the lens of citability. You will also contribute to Scribble's own content as a subject-matter expert.
What You'll Do
Develop content frameworks that optimise simultaneously for traditional SERP performance and AI citation
Lead keyword and topic research with an AI-first lens: identifying what questions AI systems are answering, what sources they cite, and where client content falls short
Write and edit high-value, answer-first content: definitive guides, structured FAQs, authoritative explainers — the kind of content AI systems cite
Build and maintain Scribble's content standards for AI citability
Run monthly content performance reviews combining traditional SEO metrics with AI citation tracking
Monitor changes in how AI platforms answer queries weekly and update content guidance accordingly
What we are looking for
4+ years in SEO-focused content strategy, content marketing, or digital editorial with evidence of content that actually ranked
Solid on-page SEO fundamentals: header structure, internal linking, entity optimisation, schema markup — things you have implemented
Strong editorial instincts: you know the difference between content that will be cited and content that will be ignored, and you can articulate why
Experience working across multiple client accounts or brand properties simultaneously without losing quality
Some technical literacy: you understand crawl budgets, you have set up Search Console, you know what a canonical tag is
Comfort with ambiguity: GEO is still being defined, and part of your job is to help define it
Nice to have
Experience with NLP tools or AI-powered content analysis platforms
Published SEO case studies, content audits, or writing that has ranked well organically
