About the project
Ping is a decentralized bandwidth infrastructure. We aggregate global bandwidth resources—from data centers to smartphones—to provide businesses with scalable, affordable networking solutions. Currently, we are in the Devnet stage and plan to launch the Ping VPN app in February. The app has two main goals: showcasing our infrastructure for B2B clients and allowing users to access a fast, free VPN while earning points for helping us battle-test our solution. The Ping app will launch with Season 1. In Season 2, we will move into the Testnet phase, enabling users to contribute server hardware. We have already secured several B2B clients for the Testnet stage.

Key Narratives
We have two main narratives:
- Ping is building next-gen infrastructure for networking solutions. Our product will support multiple use cases, from VPN routing to CDN, helping businesses scale efficiently and cost-effectively.
We enable anyone to monetize their internet connection. Whether you're a data center or a regular smartphone user, our goal is to utilize idle resources to create a more efficient and reliable internet."
Problem being solved
The bandwidth market is heavily centralized, creating several challenges for businesses:
- Expensive cloud providers provide limited geo coverage with costs that wipe out all profit margins
- Working with dedicated hardware from data centers requires manual management of thousands of servers, creating heavy operational load
- Both options don’t provide on-demand scalability needed by fast growing businesses. Best you can get is 4 hour server delivery in top locations. By the time you get them, you could already face downtime
At the same time, demand for bandwidth is rising rapidly. Content consumption is exploding. Who doesn’t love short videos, right? AI needs to pull massive amounts of data from the web as well.
With a $35B market lacking efficient solutions, businesses face ongoing challenges in growing efficiently.
That’s where Ping comes in.

Things to not cover or not to do while crafting
We want to avoid direct comparisons with Grass. However, we are building a universal solution similar to how centralized competitors operate, while Grass is evolving into an AI development platform. This means Grass could eventually become our client if they require residential proxies.
