Narrative

Every time BTC is bridged, it stops being secured solely by Bitcoin's native consensus. It becomes a claim on BTC secured by an external validator set or multisig. Since 2024, that design choice has already imposed a $108M "Bridge Tax" on the industry.

This is not a series of isolated exploits. It is a structural outcome of the lock-and-mint model (locking BTC on one chain and minting a synthetic version elsewhere). When custody and validation move outside Bitcoin, new trust assumptions are introduced by design. Synthetic representations replace native security.

There is another path. Bitcoin can extend its utility without exporting its consensus. Tachi enables programmable, self-custodial activity while keeping security anchored to Bitcoin itself. The result is agent-driven strategies that run continuously, without bridges, wrapped tokens, or custodians.
