The brand has launched Ice Dreams, a limited-edition drop of pillowcases designed to be stored in the freezer before bedtime. Yes, you put your pillowcase in the freezer, take it out when you're ready for bed, and get that lovely little hit of coolness against your face.
And because this is Ben & Jerry’s, the pillowcases come tucked inside bespoke ice cream tubs.
A little more cold for bedtime
The collection includes three 100% cotton pillowcases inspired by some of the brand’s most recognisable flavours: Cookie Dough, Phish Food and Half Baked.
The idea is wonderfully simple. We already flip our pillows over in the middle of the night looking for that cool, fresh side. Ben & Jerry’s has taken that tiny bedtime ritual and turned it into something you can actually prepare for.
Put it in the freezer. Sleep on the cold side. It feels almost like a little bedtime treat.
And that is what makes the idea so charming.

Searches for “head cooling” are reportedly up 70% this month, while clinical psychologist and behavioural sleep medicine expert Dr Zoe Gotts says cooling the head and neck can help create the thermal conditions associated with sleep. Ben & Jerry’s has simply taken that idea somewhere a little more fun.
As Seren Wilson, Ben & Jerry’s Director of Ice Dreams and Dough-ziness, puts it: the brand has spent decades mastering the ultimate scoop, but the ultimate late-night experience needed a “two-pronged thermal approach.”
