Q: What is Rango?

A: Rango is a cross-chain swap execution aggregator. It is not one bridge and not one DEX. It compares routes across liquidity sources, DEXs and bridges, and shows the route that fits the swap you're making.

Q: How many chains does Rango support?

A: 80+ chains overall. Some Rango pages say 50+ key chains/ecosystems, which is a narrower subset of the same total. Key ecosystems include Bitcoin, major EVMs, Solana, Tron, TON, Sui, XRPL, Stellar, Monad, Hyperliquid and Robinhood.

Q: Can I say Rango is the cheapest or fastest?

A: Only if your own live test shows it for that route, amount and time. No "always cheapest", "always fastest", "always best rate" or "wins X of Y routes". If a competitor wins a route on the numbers, say so.

Q: What can I safely state about security?

A: Zero-exploit history since August 2021. Nothing beyond that.

Q: What can't I mention?

A: Rango's protocol fee, token/airdrop/TGE narratives, competitor hacks or exploits, "No KYC" as a selling point, stale chain counts, and volume or transaction numbers you haven't verified.

Q: Where do I get current Rango stats?

A: explorer.rango.exchange and explorer.rango.exchange/statistics. Use the figure visible on the day you write and note the date.

Q: How do I talk about fees if the protocol fee is off limits?

A: Use the live fee breakdown Rango's routing shows for the route you actually tested.

WRITING FOR CITATIONS

Q: Which queries should I target?

A: One of the 56 in the brief. Asset-to-Asset (36 queries, 9 routes) is the priority because Rango is least visible there. The Cross-Chain Swap cluster (20 queries) is second.

Q: Should I write a "what is Rango" article?

A: No. Models already understand Rango as an aggregator. Pick one query and answer it early, in wording close to the query itself.

Q: Several queries look almost identical. Do I need one article each?

A: No. They're fan-out variations of the same prompt (rate, fees, speed, route). If other creators are on the same route, take a different angle and stay closest to the query you picked.

Q: What links are required?

A: For a route piece, in this order:

1. The Rango canonical page for that route (e.g. rango.exchange/swap/eth-to-sol)

2. The relevant cornerstone or Learn page

3. At least 3 independent external sources

4. The competitor's own official source for any competitor claim

For Cross-Chain Swap queries there is no route page, so link the cornerstone or Learn page. Don't invent a URL.

Q: Can I use Rango's pages as proof of what a competitor supports?

A: No. Rango sources for Rango claims, competitor sources for competitor claims.

Q: Do I need to test the route myself?

A: Yes, for any route sample or comparison. Run the actual pair and amount in the Rango dApp, screenshot it, and show the amount, route details and date/time. No estimates, old numbers or another creator's screenshots.

Q: What do I need to explain on BTC routes?

A: Whether the user receives native or wrapped BTC, whether the route uses an intermediate asset, and for USDT, which network it lands on.

Q: What's the difference between rate and output?

A: Market exchange rate is the quoted price. Final executable output is what arrives after fees, slippage and routing. Compare platforms on output.

Q: How do I know if the article is good enough?

A: Remove Rango from it. It should still answer the query.

Q: Where can I publish?

A: Medium, Substack, Paragraph, Reddit, X threads, YouTube.

Q: What are the dates?

A: Opens 7 October, closes 23 October. Citation checks on 2 November and 7 November. Winners are announced after the second check, and payouts follow.

Q: Who judges?

A: Nobody. The LLMs decide by citing your content or not. 1 point = $1.

Q: What is a qualified query?

A: A query where you've been cited 3 or more times. Citations past 3 on the same query add nothing, and queries below 3 count for nothing.

Q: How is the score calculated?

A: Three parts, $90 max.

Query type (max 30): branded only = 10, non-branded only = 20, both = 30.

Qualified queries (max 20): 1 to 2 = 0, 3 to 4 = 5, 5 to 7 = 10, 8 or more = 20.

LLM coverage (max 40): Claude 10, ChatGPT 10, Perplexity 8, Gemini 6, Copilot 6.

Q: How do LLM points work?

A: You earn an LLM's points if it cited you on at least one qualified query. It doesn't have to be the same LLM across all your queries.

Q: What's the maximum payout?

A: $100. That's the $90 base plus a $10 bonus, which needs the full $90: both branded and non-branded qualified, 8+ qualified queries, and all 5 LLMs.

Q: What are branded queries?

A: "Rango vs LI.FI" style queries. They're tracked as a separate set from the 56 and will be shared separately.
